I'm not sure how this speaks of delicacy -- the bird actually looks hearty. I guess the difficulty is in capturing an image of one coming towards you, not moving away. You must have been cold taking this photo!

I've been seeing a whole lot of this kind of scene lately. The past few days there's been no daytime melting even in full sun and the feeding area's are congregating everything to very small spaces. Have you used Psp's noise reduction tools much? The NI usage looks to be rather aggressive here. I use Psp9 and their noise reduction tools do a pretty good job, imo. Tweaking the settings is key. Although, I've seen some very good results by those using NI, it just looks a bit strong here. Otherwise, a pretty good shot. Exposure, timing, comp, all pretty good.

Love the sense of humour with this shot as well as the obviously excellent composition, sharpness and great colour. In my top 5.

I love this shot and the title is quite funny. Maybe you could have cropped a bit off the bottom. Great job.

I love this shot!! I love the angle, the light, and especially the humour! (It makes me think of a Victorian granny gathering up her skirts to try the water) My No.1 choice. Good luck!

A delicate situation indeed. Perhaps a little too much sharpening for my taste and the purple fringing along the bottom of the frame could have been removed in Photoshop. Perhaps a front view would have been more interesting but sometimes we have to take them as we see them in a shot of opportunity. In my TT.

Nice composition - to much sharpening ruin this shot when looked big size.
