John, you are actually quite right about the crop/comp. I did it because these lampposts were surrounded by trees. And I just couldn't make something out of it. I felt it to be bit narrow myself...but I tried it anyway. About the sepia, well I guess that's taste related. I quite like it. Congratulations on your second price... You were my no. 1. Beautiful picture. And feel free to comment on my photos anytime. Just want to learn.

I'll be honest and say that I don't like the sepia colours you've used in this one. Composition is slightly messy and the image doesn't sit terribly easily with me. I do like the capture though - good find!
