I really like the colours you have achieved here. The only negative is that the tree is cropped so tightly IMO . If it were and allowed to breath more especially top & bottom it might be improved..

A very cold dreary gray winter day. Well done. In my TT. The post in the foreground is a bit of a distraction.

I love this photo. It has a nice quietness to it. Reminds me of a cold December evening, the only sound being the wind and the crunching of the snow. Well done. In my top ten.

After viewing some of the extraordinary photos taken and submitted by all of those who have commented on my shot, I'm very appreciative of the kind words, and constructive suggestions that have been made by a group of very talented photographers. I have a great deal to learn, and it's challenges like this that force my efforts to a higher level. I appreciate it, thank-you!

A mood of dark anticipation with this shot I think, can't decide whether it would have been better to have eliminated the fence post or not, however this one will be in my top ten as I feel the atmosphere is so strong .

I wish this had the whole of the fence pole in the foreground - somehow cutting it off detracts from the composiiton. Otherwise a great moody shot. In my TT.

A few things are going on here. You picked the title to match the theme, but I think a better title would have suited this image. Some may argue that the fence is a no-no. I actually think that portrays the barrier that adds to the mood assuming that is what you were trying to capture (again the title may have made that clear). Well shot otherwise, the darkening in the PP was a good choice in my opinion, without looking at the original.
Good luck.
EDIT: Sorry, I did not notice that you had not included a title.

You're both right of course. As for a title, I had contemplated calling this shot ' summer...the antithesis' but I thought that might be a bit presumptive. I agree that the fence is unfortunate...tried to crop it out and lost the scene, couldn't get closer and avoid it in the shot. I didn't want to PP too much and clone it out, but perhaps that would have been the best thing. I appreciate the kind words...I am a true amatuer in every sense, trying hard to learn what the 9000 is capable of. One thing I have discovered; this camera is far more capable than I

This photo has many nice qualities. Love the coloring and composition...just one thing...and I'm sure you know, the fence at the bottom of the frame is stealing the show it is a major distraction to the mood of this great shot. Good luck, dp.
