My wife peers over my shoulders as I comment, etc. She really likes this one too. My number one. another one that I played at cropping some and still like this just as is. Congratulations.

Would have been a great shot even without the flying bird in the foreground. Very relaxing to look at.

Nice picture but could do with a much tighter crop.

A beauty! Serene capture with great colors, light, etc Fits the challenge to a T. Top ten at least.

Fits the criteria, I reckon that's a shadow in the water as well as a reflection , may have been better if it was a closer zoom and to my eye the gull is very distractimg as is fighting for attention with the subject.

I really like this one, just maybe a tighter crop perhaps would work better for me, I don't know. Good job!

Nicely done. The soft colors are very pleasing and the bird flying into the picture adds a good deal to this picture.

What an exquisite photo! You caught a beautiful effect of water meeting sunset. Very nice.

I like the positions of the two birds and how the sun is reflecting off the water. I think that maybe the shot would have been even better if some of the water on the right were cropped out. Maybe not though, just my opinion. Nice photo.

I like this one a lot, love the color and composition. The gull pulls me into the photo, well done, top ten

this could be a winner if the heron would fill the frame, the bird in the foreground is distracting.

Lovely, simple composition. Might have been better if cropped a bit more along the right side.

Nice capture, I like it. On my fav. list. Maybe a little tighter on the right side, a lot of empty information.

For me the silhouette and shadow are too small in relation to the size of the image. The bird in the foreground is also distracting. But a nice image all the same.

A nice Image, but what puts me off from likeing it more is that the Gull is flying towards me out of the image & the Heron is faceing out the other way..

Very Nice!
I wonder if a crop on the rigth
(changing picture in portrait mode)
could have given more emphasys to the heron.

Nice. Got a silhouette and a shadow. I might have played with the crop some to center the heron but there is a lot to work with - not complaining, it looks like there are many potentials with this one.

I think maybe an even tighter crop would be better. The bird in flight really doesn't add to the overall image.

I know it was probably an artistic choice, but I would definitely have cropped the flying bird off the bottom (especially since you cropped one off the left!). The one, single silhouette of the standing bird more than fits the challenge. The inclusion of the flying one just makes it messy to me.

Now I like this image, fitting both criteria... Subtle colors, and the bird in the corner fits well in the frame.
