Lovely looking dog :-). You had lots of light so dropping the ISO to say 200 would have helped minimise the grain in your photo. I would have prefered it if he had a little more headroom. GL.

There was a reason that it is such a tight shot. I was lying in a blanket on the lawn, using a long lens. He is so thrilled when I go out with him and just beside himself if I actually lie down on his level. He was attempting to show me his guardian skills by barking and shaking toys. He advanced when he was not getting the proper notice of his excellent skills. Soon he was crowding the shots. I chose the high ISO because he is so hyper.

I've always loved this breed of dog. They radiate cuteness. You need a little space above his head as the framing is too tight. 1/6410 secs? You could have lowered the ISO a few stops and still have good speed. Thanks for showing us Fergus :)
