Thank you ever so much for your kind comments and votes. I'd like to give an extra special thanks to my model (Heather UK), without whome, I could not have taken one of my favourite photos :-)

Awww Buckshot. I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me! You're making me blush :-) . I can't help myself with the sharpening! I think I'm a sharpaholic ;-)

Thanks for the nice comments too Tessa :-).

Although this image has been repeated may times you have done an incredible job with it. The setup and execution were flawless as well as the choice of models. For me this is an easy #1.

I think you could have backed off a notch sharpening

Thanks all :-) . Leanne - The original shot of this has her fingers with pink nail varnish as I'd intended to include them and change the pink to red. I changed my mind as by including the fingers there seemed to be too little red in the photo (as I wanted impact) and I had trouble changing the pink nail varnish to a red I liked. It just kept looking false.

Her mouth was quite black in the original photo, but the flash picked up some back teeth faintly which looked odd so I darkened and evened out the area. The background is an even 1,1,1 (red, green, blue), but the mouth is mostly 40,10,10 dropping down to somewhat lower numbers at the edges. It looks like an ultra dark red on my monitor, but possibly shows up as black on others.

Nicely focused and exposed.I'd like to se the whole strawberry in the shot and maybe some fingers with bright red nail polish. Also the black patch inside the mouth makes it look like she has a hole in her cheek. Despite these minor things, it's one of the quality shots .

Thank you Yozzer. I'm glad you like it :-) .

I know what you mean elliott. I think this photo looks at its best a pace or two further back from your monitor than normal. I think it would look better on a wall than close up on a screen.

a little too close for comfort for me. i get what you are doing but think shot from a little further back would soften things a bit. some of the elements begin to not look natural.

still a good composition in my favorites. el
