LindyB, Many thanks for the note, and welcome to the 'Last in Class Group' I am a proud member too from a couple of months back, at least you know that you stand an excellent chance of doing better next month.
I am putting some pics on the Forum for you showing the floor above and a quick way down, also a couple of my latest Rose piccies, hope you like.
Regards
Mike

Mike, thanks for brightening my morning with your witticisms! I asked because the last time we went up the tower, those staircases were cordoned off... perhaps because it was windy at the time.
Well done on your 11th place finish. I got my first ever last place this time - an achievement in itself :-)

Many thanks to all for the comments , Yozzer- The use of the words Blackpool Tower in the extra info was a bit of a give away!and thanks for the compliment.
LindyB- No fooling you is there ! From the main viewing platform there is a small iron circular staircase that takes you up higher and from that another one up to the top. After that a padlocked gate stops you ascending the final six feet or so to the tip(only for maintenance use). Phrases like 'Silly old fool' and 'he must be barmy' floated up to me as I was taking the pictures but have no idea to whom they were referring!

To everyone unfortunate enough not to live in Lancashire UK just Google Blackpool Tower UK for lots of info.

A nicely composed, colorful and sharp photo. I've only heard of Blackpool, but hope to see it someday. Good luck.

A lovely shot. I love the reletively empty space on the left in contrast with everything for the eye to explore on the right. In my TT, good luck!

I'm assuming this is Mike's entry. You were lucky to have such a clear day... I think I can see all the way to Cleveleys! TT.
By the way, how did you manage to get to the higher platforms?

Cool POV, maybe a tad heavy on sharpening. Nice shot though.
