Extra Info:
We picked apples today at the orchard near our house. This will be the last pick of the year as snow is expected later this week (note the white mountains in the distance). We enjoy the views as much as the fruit at this location.

Great view! I would have tried to keep the background in focus, not the apple. Nice processing, in my fav. Good luck!

Thanks for the kind comments and constructive criticisms. Sometimes I like to color outside the lines (e.g. apple in focus) which doesn't always go over too well at this school:) Punishment was swift and direct, but not as severe as I thought it might be:)
bagnally: Thanks. This is in north central Washington State, USA, the 'apple capital of the world'. That's Lake Chelan (55 miles long) behind the apple.

I like the addition of the apple to this shot. It adds scale, GL.

Nice looking apple and rugged landscape but a pity only the apple is in focus. It would probably been one of my favourites if it was more of a traditional landscape.

Lovely view. I really don't like the apple being there though.

This would have been my No 1 if the vista had been in focus and not the apple. Still, I love it and it is an amazing view! How fortunate you are to look out at that every day and in every season.TT Good luck!

Sorry, but that apple is so so distracting from a beautiful view. Otherwise, this would have been very high, or even highest, of my favourites

Nice view. I think I'd prefer the apple a bit less prominent though. I moved it about 3/4 of the width of the apple to the left and the shot looked more like a view with an apple in it, than an apple with a view in the background. Try it and see what you think though, as I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination :-).

The view is priceless, so why are we looking at the apple?
