Extra Info:
No, my eye has not been added in PhotoShop. If you had been standing where the camera taking the picture was, you would have seen exactly the same view.

The Olympus OM-2 in the picture is a normal working camera, and if I had pressed the shutter release, it would have taken a picture of the camera which made the photo.

Thanks for the comments and votes.

The 'secret' is that the OM-2, like many other SLRs, has a removable focusing screen. Once you take that out, there's a clear optical path: lens-mirror-pentaprism-eyepiece. Depending on the lens, the image of the eye will be bigger or smaller.

I haven't tried it, but something like DrewE's idea might also be workable.

A clever idea and well-executed. I assume the swinging back cover is out of the frame on one side. High in my top ten. Good luck.

Well accomplished! If I hadn't read the extra info, this would've passed me up.

That an awesome idea. Can any type of camera do that? Really cool shot!
